West Park Church hosted the 4th Annual Northwest London Celebrates Canada Community BBQ and Fireworks event on Saturday, June 28th. Approximately 3000 friends, family and community in attendance people enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers, games, crafts and inflatable bouncers.

There were 864 hamburgers and 990 hot dogs sold! 750 children who enjoyed the inflatable bouncers, games and activities Nels Ross, a professional Christian entertainer from New York, captivated the audience with a 45 minute variety comedy show. The gospel message was interwoven throughout his juggling and fun comedy.

The grand finale of the night was a 15 minute fireworks display that had everyone cheering. West Park plans this big event to celebrate their Canadian heritage and to root itself more deeply in their community.

The success of this celebration is related to the strong team of 185 enthusiastic volunteers from the church family who assist before, during and after the event.

West Park appreciates the local businesses who partner with them through corporate sponsorship. The community embraces this Canada Celebration and many have expressed their gratitude to the church for providing a fun, family night each year.

Christian Life in London Online thanks Carole Verdun and Barb Legge for the wonderful pictures of the great event at West Park.
