It may surprise you to know that Mission Services of London has existed since 1951. In more than sixty years we have helped thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds right here in London. We continue to evolve our services through five branches to help meet the needs of those who are experiencing poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addiction and crisis. Through fundraisers and awareness campaigns, we are able to gain support for this labour of love.

On November 4th, Mission Services of London is holding its Fall Banquet & Silent Auction at the London Convention Centre. For our auction, attendees can bid on silent auction items such as passes and packages for Toronto and local attractions, restaurants, golf, as well as authentic Wayne Gretzky memorabilia and much more.

We are excited that our keynote speaker, Stacey Bess, will share her inspirational story, Overcoming the Odds: Lessons from the School with No Name. Her 11 years teaching children at a shelter school in Utah helped break the stigma surrounding families faced with homelessness, and inspired the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, Beyond the Blackboard.

Our focus this year is on Rotholme Women’s & Family Shelter located at 42 Stanley Street. Our goal is to raise awareness and support for the men, women and children who come to this branch in need of emergency housing and support, as the only family shelter of its kind in our local area. From point of entry, our caring staff members work to understand the unique needs of everyone who comes to us. Many current and former clients have shared their stories of hope and appreciation for the positive difference that Rotholme and our other branches have made in their lives. Visit to learn more.

Tickets for Nov. 4th ($60 per person) include dinner and parking through the London Convention Centre. Come for food, food for thought, friendship and fun. Contact Cindy Taylor: or 519-433-2807 ext. 106.
