These 16 Apps can turn your iPad into a virtual seminary (Tweet This List).
This is a simple Bible that provides the text of the Old and New Testaments in several versions. It also has several high-quality audio Bibles that you can listen to while traveling, during your work day, or anytime you would like to hear the Word. The app is an extension of the ministry Faith Comes by Hearing.

Glo Bible
While there is a free version of this app available, I strongly recommend purchasing Glo Bible. Available for your computer as well, this app lets you dive deep into the text with photos, maps, virtual tours and a lot more.

Blue Letter Bible
In addition to the Biblical text, Blue Letter Bible offers lexicon tools, the ability to view parallel translations, commentaries, dictionaries, and daily reading plans and organizational tools.

Christian Creeds & Reformed Confessions | Android | Apple
Having access to the creeds and confessions of the Christian faith is vitally important in developing your skills as an everyday theologian. The app contains the full text of the Apostle’s, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, the Westminster Catechism, and several others.

OnePassion Ministries (Steven Lawson)
Quickly access a large and growing library of trusted Christian discipleship resources from OnePassion Ministries, the preaching and teaching ministry of Dr. Steven J. Lawson.

This app includes hundreds of resources from over three decades of pastoral ministry from Dr. Steven J. Lawson. All dedicated to developing Christian disciples and training men in the form of biblical expository preaching.

Truth For Life | Android | Apple
Alistair Begg is a tremendously gifted preacher of God’s Word. In addition to access to a library of Pastor Begg’s sermons, this app has daily readings from C.H. Spurgeon’s Morning & Evening devotionals and blog posts from

Grace To You
Grace To You is the teaching ministry of Pastor John MacArthur. It would be difficult to find a more thorough teacher of the Bible, and this app gives you access to decades of MacArthur’s sermon audio. The audio and video resources are arranged by recent broadcasts, sermon series archives, and has the ability to search for teaching by books of the Bible.

Ligonier | Android | Apple
Ligonier Ministries is led by R.C. Sproul. A giant of modern day reformed theology, this app contains not only the teaching of Sproul but has years worth of Bible and theology conferences that feature dozens of teachers, pastors, professors, and theologians.

Short for Reformation Network, RefNet is an extension of Ligonier Ministries. This is a 24-hour internet radio network that broadcasts the preaching and teaching of those in the reformed faith. We’ve written about RefNet before, and highly recommend this resource.

The Gospel Coalition | Android | Apple
The Gospel Coalition is a collection of Biblically and theologically informed essays, articles, and blog posts on important topics collected from a fellowship of evangelical churches in North America.

RZIM | Android | Apple
Anyone interested in the field of apologetics should be familiar with Ravi Zacharias. RZIM is his international apologetics ministry, and this app contains two radio broadcasts: Let My People Think and Just Thinking. It also includes videos of Ravi’s talks as well as blog posts and their newsletter publication, A Slice of Infinity.

Stand To Reason | Android | Apple
If you’re a frequent reader of the Reasonable Theology blog you’ve likely come across for a recommendation of Greg Koukl’s excellent book, Tactics. Stand To Reason is Koukl’s weekly call-in radio show that gives information and training on explaining and defending the Christian faith with logic and reason.

Ask Pastor John | Android | Apple
This podcast features daily interviews with John Piper where he answers tough theological and pastoral questions. New episodes are put out each weekday, and they are typically 10-15 minutes in length.

Reasonable Faith
You are likely familiar with William Lane Craig, and those who have benefited from his talks and debates will greatly enjoy this app. It offers podcasts, articles, and videos of Dr. Craig’s apologetics ministry and a library of several debates.

RTS Mobile, Covenant Seminary (Android, Apple), and Biblical Training (BT Mobile)
Each of these apps offer a large library of free seminary level courses. You can read more about each of these different resources in our Free Seminary Courses article. Just know that these apps give you convenient access to full courses on Biblical studies, theology, church history, and many other disciplines.

Sermon Audio
Sermon Audio offers a vast library of sermons uploaded and shared from thousands of churches. Keep in mind that the diversity of the Christian faith is represented in the available audio, and that discernment should be used when selecting unknown sermons. That being said, it is a great help to be able to search for sermons focused on specific verses of scripture, and there are dramatized sermons from classic preachers such as C.H. Spurgeon in abundance.

Southern Evangelical Seminary Apologetics app | Android | Apple
This app is focused on apologetics, and has articles, videos, and audio from William Lane Craig, Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell, William Dembski, Frank Turek, Hugh Ross, Dinesh D’Souza, Gary Habermas, and many other well-known apologists.

Amazon Kindle
What is Amazon Kindle doing on a list of Christian apps? Well, there are tons cheap and free ebooks available on the Kindle platform. In addition to various ministries offering free or discounted books every now and then there are some resources that are always available at no cost. You can find classics from D.L Moody, Charles Spurgeon, and A.W. Tozer as well as newer texts from folks like R.C. Sproul.

About Reasonable Theology

What is all about?
This website exists to help believers think through important aspects of their theology and encourage them to be proactive in developing a more complete and accurate understanding of the Christian faith.

By “reasonable” we mean that the theological content on this site is given in an orderly, easy-to-understand way. Its all about providing sound, Biblical theology in an accessible format.

Unfortunately, many Christians spend very little time in studying doctrine and theology. This is often due to a perception that studying theology is complicated, dull, and presented in a way that is inaccessible for the “average” believer.

In reality, we are all theologians because we all have some understanding of God. What we need is to be diligent in developing a correct understanding of Him, and that’s why exists.

My goal is to explain theological issues as clearly and reasonably as possible in order to help every believer understand the important truths of the Christian faith.

Who Writes These Articles?
Clayton Kraby - This website was created and is maintained by Clayton Kraby (that’s me). I’m not a professor, a pastor, or published author. I am just a believer with a desire to help other Christ-followers understand and build their faith. I began my career in the marketing field and worked in a variety of positions since graduating college.

My professional background is in Marketing, and previously I had been working full-time as the Marketing Director for the fastest growing company in my home state of North Dakota. I eventually took a new position managing marketing for a software company in Fargo, ND – which happened to be number two on that same list.

Despite moderate success in online marketing, I felt called to pursue vocational ministry. In August 2014 my family and I moved to Florida so that I could attend seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary. This website serves as an extension of my personal ministry, an opportunity to continue to use my marketing background, and provide others with helpful resources.

I appreciate you checking out the site and finding your way over to this page. Feel free to follow @ClayKraby on Twitter to get to know me a little better.
