Without Warning : As he prepares to deliver the State of the Union address, the president of the United States is convinced the Islamic State is on the run, about to be crushed by American forces once and for all. But "New York Times" foreign correspondent J. B. Collins tells the president he's dead wrong. With the Middle East on fire, the Israeli prime minister dead, and Amman in ruins, Collins fears a catastrophic attack inside the American homeland is imminent. He argues that only an all-out manhunt to capture or kill Abu Kahlif--the leader of ISIS--can stop the attack and save American lives. But will the president listen and take decisive action before it's too late?

Wow! It's hard to find the words to adequately describe Joel Rosenberg's latest thriller. J.B. Collins is back and the bad guys are still after him. The fact that Joel lives in the Middle East adds authenticity to his writing. The setting is described in such a way that you can imagine yourself there with J.B. and company. At times my heart was pounding with fear for the folks in the book. There is a depth to the characters that only comes from being a master storyteller. I expected to read a disclaimer at the end of the book stating that the names have been changed to protect the innocent. Do yourself a favor and don't start this book until you have time to settle in for the great adventure.

Here is the conclusion to an exciting thrilling series with the main character J. B. Collins who we meet in the first book titled, The Third Target, followed by The Third Hostage! To follow the developing characters and plot, it is important to read the books in order as one builds upon the prior. Joel Rosenberg is one of my most favorite authors as he writes with such intense intrigue, suspense, faith and political scenarios it takes my breath away! As a reader, it is like reading what is happening in the news, except in a fictional format with such tension added it is palatable!

The ending to the series is one I didn’t see coming and to have to take breaks in reading for one reason or another was difficult! Joel Rosenberg’s books are well-researched, crafted to inform as well as entertain with faith being central to the story. There is never a dull moment in the story and one cannot help but want to read faster and faster to see where the author is taking the reader along with the characters.

To each novel, Joel brings a perspective of looking at politics, governments and America’s enemies with such astounding insight! Readers will be totally surprised by how the series ends. I wonder what will come from the mind and pen of this author that will reflect faith, history, events, and people wrapped in a captivating and believable format that makes readers like me coming back with each book for more!

One of the most precious nuances to this author’s writing is how he allows faith to help him understand world events and then reach so many via fiction whereas nonfiction might not. I cannot recommend his books highly enough as I have them all, have read them and keep them in hopes that one day my sons will read them or my grandchildren. So, grab The Third Target, The Third Hostage and Without Warning and then sit back, enjoy and share with others what you think of these books or any of his previous novels as they are worth reading over and over again!

I started Without Warning this evening with the idea of reading just a few chapters. It’s now 3am, I’m bleary eyed and wondering where the past 6 hours have gone. I’ve read many of Mr. Rosenberg’s books over the years and next to the Copper Scroll this was my favorite. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with Book II but Without Warning was a fantastic and believable read to the very end. Talk about a page turner. Wow.

For this third and final installment in the J.B. Collins series Mr. Rosenberg, in his unique way, takes current events and weaves a heart pounding thriller which makes you think seriously about the issues of our day. Even if you are not interested in politics, terrorism, international relations, Israel or spiritual issues this was just a well written and entertaining read.

And just about the time you think you've figured out the plot, Mr. Rosenberg throws in a twist that will leave you speechless.

"Without Warning," Joel C. Rosenberg's long anticipated conclusion to the bestselling and I suspect award winning J.B. Collins series, releases March 14. The complex political thriller mirrors current global events with an action-packed account that includes a religious madman, apocalyptic Islam, "catastrophic terror attacks inside the American homeland," a budding love story and so much more.

Readers join journalist J.B. Collins in the Oval office where he waits for the president to finalize the State of the Union speech for the joint session of Congress. Collins knows the president's popularity is soaring in the polls after his recent rescue in the Middle East ("First Hostage" 2016) yet he suspect's the president has "been blindsided by an enemy he neither truly understands nor sees coming." Especially ISIS leader, Abu Khalif who continues to behead, crucify and enslave "men, women and children who get in his way."

Collins, the only westerner who interviewed Khalif and knows what he looks like, believes the "world's most wanted and dangerous man" is underestimated by the president. Since their interview Collins knows nothing will discourage Khalif's belief he's been "chosen by Allah to bring about the end of the world" and that will usher in the prophesied Islamic messiah—the Mahdi..

During the interview Khalif assured Collins he intended to raise the black flag of ISIS over the White House and Collins knew the president's commitment to political correctness and his inability to name the enemy emboldened the "religious mastermind." Only one thing would stop the madman! And the president’s invitation to the Oval office was the perfect moment for Collins to ask: "Do you have a plan to kill Abu Khalif or not?"

Thus begins a powerful political fiction with strong religious overtones from an author whose attention to research and detail is spellbinding. Short chapters with cliff-hanger endings add relentless suspense and tension that builds to a stunning conclusion. In addition to Rosenberg’s personal experience and detailed knowledge of the Middle East that adds additional subtle nuances, depth and dimension to a fast moving, multilayered, interweaving plot that keeps readers riveted. If you aren't already a fan of Rosenberg's you will be by the time you finish "Without Warning."

The president of the United States, Harrison Taylor, is about to deliver the State of the Union address, all set to assure the American people that their greatest foreign threat is being squelched. New York Times national security correspondent J.B. Collins adamantly disagrees, beginning to fear that the president won't take necessary action before it's too late in Without Warning, a novel by author Joel C. Rosenberg.

Well. Even as riveted as I was to the J.B. Collins novel that precedes this one, The First Hostage, I don't think a thriller has ever left me at such a level of shaken speechlessness when it finished. Not a thriller--not until now. And though I don't altogether like having to snap out of speechlessness to come up with words for a book review, I can't say I'd have it any other way, after being punched in the soul by this novel.

No, I'm not much of a political or doomsday kind of person, but this fiction lover appreciates being stretched by this type of reading. I'm not a big fan of sermons in novels or when a character seems to adopt some "church speak" at an unnatural speed, as I feel happens in this book. And I found J.B.'s thoughts to be redundant in places, as if he didn't fully trust me to remember or understand the magnitude of what was happening.

But his story had me inhaling the pages in notably fewer sittings than I'd normally take for a novel of this length. And I'd highly recommend it to any other fans of ChristFic thrillers who can stand a solid punch in the soul.

Gee. Nothing like being punched in the soul by love.

This time it is personal and it has come home - America is under attack, the first target, the nation's capital. One would think President Harrison Taylor would take the threats of Abu Khalif more seriously after being held hostage. But the President keeps brushing off concerns expressed by those with keeping him in the know. And J.B. Collins is determined to let the nation know that contrary to the President's political grandstanding Abu Khalif is not on the run and is in fact about to fulfill his promise to bring down America and the infidel nations.

When successive attacks begin occurring across the nation, one strike is about to change J.B.'s life forever. Can a journalist use his investigative skills and his knowledge of Abu Khalif to help bring down the world's most deadly terrorist?

This book packs in a lot of action as J.B. comes to terms with his life as it now stands - his choices and his regrets. With lives on the line, he makes a decision that will take him back to the Middle East, where he will take part in the ultimate story - his own.

If you like non-stop suspense with a political twist you need to read this book - this series. Get ready for some unexpected twists before you experience a not to be forgotten ending. If you haven't read the previous two books in the series I would highly recommend reading them first as the series builds upon itself. Fans of Joel Rosenberg's work will appreciate his latest fiction offering.

J.B. Collins is the top national security correspondent for the New York Times with a topnotch reputation for getting the facts others miss, but the challenge in this new release from Tyndale House is how to convince the President of the United States.

The Middle East is in chaos. The Israeli prime minister is dead and Amman, Jordan is in ruins as ISIS continues to escalate their attacks across the world. President Taylor knows that and has seen their tactics up close and personal when he came under attack and nearly lost his life when he was abducted in the Middle East. Even so, he continues to tell the American people ISIS is being defeated.

J.B. was the one who interviewed the head of ISIS while that man was in prison. He knows his voice, his face, his plans to destroy not only the Middle East, but also the United States in attacks worse than those of 9/11. J.B. fears the worst is ahead based on his firsthand knowledge from his interview and the certainty there are jihadist cells already plotting the attacks within the United States and that chemical weapons are likely to be used.

This gripping novel sounds like it has been pulled from present day headlines and will immediately catch you up in this powerful story written by Joel Rosenberg, New York Times best selling author. The intrigue will keep the pages turning with no certainty of how it will all end until the final few pages.
