“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” (Romans 10:14, ESV)

London has been home for our family since April 2003. After serving as a youth pastor in Guelph, the Lord providentially chose Easter Sunday as the inaugural church service for my new beginning as assistant pastor at Royal View Church in our city’s east end.

I sincerely thank God for bringing me to a church so devoted to showing our community the love of Christ! However, over time I came under increasing personal conviction about the fact that I simply wasn’t sharing His gospel with others. Worse yet, I had no clue how.

In September 2006, I was led by the Lord to go on mission to America where I was forever changed by an encounter with a worshiping and witnessing church. Further, I was also equipped by example to reach out to the lost with the gospel and good works together.

God bless America. But Canada needs Christ too! So, I returned home broken and burdened.

After many months of prayer with a small group of like-minded local missionaries, in April 2007 I stepped out in faith and founded The Cross Current, a local missions ministry and outreach radio program that equips the Church by example to normalize sharing the gospel.

Since that time, I have had the privilege of personally training countless Christ-followers to share their faith with family and friends, lead weekly gospel outreach teams in our community, and host a reality radio program to equip the Church to engage the culture. God is so good!

Perhaps you have been personally equipped at one of our training seminars to open Scripture in conversation about Christ? Or maybe you and your family have tuned in to TCC Radio on Faith FM to hear us share Jesus with non-Christian neighbours in our community? If so, we sincerely hope that you are still “going” and we love the fact that you are still listening! But until the Master returns, our work for the Lord in the local mission field seems far from finished.

Earlier this year, the CBC released an article titled, “From sacred to secular: Canada set to lose 9,000 churches, warns national heritage group”. Sadly, we have already seen many churches close here in London and unless we unify and multiply the Church in gospel ministry soon, many more will follow. So, brothers and sisters, will you “Help Hear at Home” with us?

“Help Hear at Home” is an equipping campaign with The Cross Current to help local leaders and their churches get equipped to go share Christ together so that our family, friends, and neighbours can hear His Good News right here at home. London needs the Lord!

After so many years serving as a pastor of evangelism, I have personally encountered thousands of non-Christians who have never heard the gospel and countless Christians who are not equipped to share it with them. As such, last year our home church leaders at Redemption Bible Chapel commissioned me and my family into a new ministry season trusting that the Lord would provide us with enough support for me to become the first full-time missionary evangelist with The Cross Current. On July 1st, 2018 we officially stepped out onto the water and God has been so faithful!

After just a little over one year of full-time equipping evangelism ministry, I stand amazed at how much more the Lord has done through The Cross Current for His glory in Canada! More leaders and churches trained. More strategic church missions partnerships secured. More non-Christians hearing the Gospel through outreach media.

But there’s still much more to be done. That’s why we still need more “home team” supporters to pray, give, and go with us in gospel partnership together.
